&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;New page&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;The Four Slice Toaster was released in February, 2009, as a demonstration of a robust and secure VistA setup for two different users, each with independent instances running on the same installation of VistA. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
A Toaster is a software appliance – virtual machine – that provides a complete FOSS stack of VistA on GT.M on GNU/Linux. It uses QEMU (and also kvm on Linux) as virtual host, and as with all VistA Toasters, it runs on most operating systems - Windows, Linux, OS X, Solaris... &lt;br /&gt;
