The entry in the DEVICE File named HFS is used by KIDS to load a distribution.
HFS stands for "Host File System", ie: the operating system that provides hosting to the MUMPS/Cache/GT.M sytem. Examples of a HFS are: MacOS, BSD, Microsoft Windows, Linux, VMS, VOS, etc.
