- Discharge Summary
- A formal synopsis of a patient’s medical care during a single hospitalization, including tests procedures, and conclusions. A discharge summary is prepared for all discharges and transfers from a VA medical center or domiciliary or from nursing home care. The automated Discharge Summary module of TIU provides an efficient and immediate mechanism for clinicians to capture transcribed patient discharge summaries online, where they’re available for review, signing, adding addendum.
