- A non-drug item entered into the GENERIC NAME field (# .01) of the local DRUG file (#50) that may be a prosthetic or expendable item such as ostomy supply, alcohol pads, syringes, bed pans, etc. identified by the code “S” in the DEA/SPECIAL HDLG field (#3) of the local DRUG file (#50).
