CPRS Config: Order Checks
From VistApedia
Welcome to the Order Checks Configuration Page.
What Are Order Checks?
Order checks are checks that take place when an order is placed in VISTA. Common order checks are to see if a patient has had allergies assessed if you are ordering a medication; or to see if the medications ordered interact with each other.
Pre Configuration
Before you configure order checks, you need to list them out and sit down with the decision makers at your facility to get an initial configuration. Don't expect to get this right the first time you do it though, as you may need to tweak this in the future.
For each, you need to ask these questions?
- Enable?
- Is it Mandatory (Users cannot disable it)?
- Danger Level (High, Low, Medium)
Here is the list of Order Checks that comes with VISTA.
